Rules for using the Max Frisch Archive
The rules for using the archive are based on the conditions for using the ETH-Bibliothek and for special collections. In order to protect the unique holdings in the Max Frisch Archive, the following additional conditions also apply:
Resources are to be used in Room H 27. No documents may be removed from this room.
Please give advance notice before your first use of the resources, so that the documents you require can be made ready.
Consulting the material is free of charge. From 2010, a digital research tool will be available for users.
Users must fill in an application form.
It is not possible to view material in the Max Frisch Archive if it is subject to legal copyright restrictions or affects the personal rights of third parties.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide original documents for conservation reasons. Wherever possible, the archive will make copies available in such cases.
The use of digital cameras requires prior approval.
The requested material will be retrieved, prepared and filed away again by the archivist. Access to the stacks is not possible.
Users must handle the materials and working aids carefully, always following the instructions of the archivist. Users will be held responsible for any damage.
Documents that are ordered are only made available for viewing on one day and must be returned in the evening. The archivist is entitled to restrict the number of documents ordered and to monitor bags and other personal items belonging to users.
Copies will only be made by the archivist and provided this complies with conservation and legal requirements. The cost is in accordance with the ETH-Bibliothek regulations on fees. The use of manual scanners to copy documents is strictly forbidden.
Users must not disturb other people using the resources. In particular, eating and drinking and the use of mobile phones are prohibited.
