New exhibition at the Max Frisch Archive

On display are valuable first editions and dedication copies by the author.

Max Frisch's works such as “Homo faber”, “Stiller” and “Andorra” have been translated into dozens of languages and are now available in numerous editions. Readers can choose between paperback, hardback or illustrated editions. But what did the books look like when they were first published? The exhibition features the valuable first editions from their respective years of publication: from the debut novel “Jürg Reinhart” (1934) to works that only appeared posthumously, such as the “Drafts for a Third Sketchbook” (2010) and the “Berlin Journal” (2014).
